Budget Automation in PS

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know if we can automate the posting of budget values to WBS. Here in my project, Planning is done in BPC and the approved plan structure/Budget needs to be posted to WBS before project execution.Client does not want to put extra effort in entering budget values or running LSMW steps in the system.

Please, suggest if there is a way where we can create a custom program which can be run to automate the process.

hi

I suppose you should consult this topic with a BPC specialist. Why? because you can probably import data from ERP to BPC. But probably you can retract this data to ERP back. So as I know integration could be a little different if BPC is installed on NetWeaver or Microsoft. There are many aspects which should be discussed.

For this topic you need an ABAPer and BPC consultant.

You are probably right. I wanted to gain an understanding of what all can be done for the specific business requirement before engaging an ABAP resource. BPC team confirms that they can provide data (Approved Budget package/WBS wise) in a supported format which can be later on loaded on to ERP but cleint doesn't want to invest more time/effort doing this as they have already done this in BPC.

More thoughts are still welcome. Appreciate your responses.
