system copy whiel import -loadprocedure fast

Hi experts,

                  while importing in system copy there is a option is a Advanced Configuration---> in next screen it is showing Task Options as empty and

                 Load options as -loadprocedure fast

                 what should i mention in Task options------>

                 what is the use of selecting this option(-loadprocedure fast)

This is an R3load feature and there is an explanation provided in this SAP note.

Note 1464560 - FAQ: R3load in MaxDB

This SAP note is for MaxDB but the explanation is valid for all databases.

                my doubt is  what should i download from marketplace, and where should i add that text

Hi Shaikh,

You need to download latest R3load files from SAP Marketplace.

You need to ensure that option "-loadprocedure fast" exists in the export/import properties file.

If not add this line during import in import_monitor_cmd.properties

dbCodepage=4102
jobNum=30
monitorTimeout=30
loadArgs=-loadprocedure fast
trace=all

You don't need to download anything.

Like I mentioned before this is an R3load feature.

You need to pass this option with the argument to the R3load to make use of this feature.

I believe there should be option to enable or add this feature in the sapinst or SWPM.

Else just add this argument in the import_monitor_cmd.properties file.

Just go to /sapmnt/SID/exe and run ./R3load -help and you will be able to this option with the available arguments.

Hi Shaik,

Starting with R3load release 6.40 R3load supports Oracle´s direct path load interface as an option for imports. This can greatly reduce the time needed to import data into Oracle databases. Customers can download it as usual from SAP Marketplace.

To use this feature one has to add "-loadprocedure fast" (without the

double quotes) to the command line when R3Load is started.
