I just finished my system and I have to update the jspm.

when do I start the jspm, I get the following error:

Hi,

Error  "StringIndexOutOfBoundsException" most likely occurs when JSPM try to detect the central instance profile.

Solution to this problem is to remove all temporary profiles from SYS/profile directory and leave only current profiles which are being used. This should resolve the issue.

In one of the instance, CI profile  with short name and name and long name both were existing such as SID_DVEBMGS_ and SID_DVEBMGS_HOSTNAME, which was creating confusion for  JSPM to detect the correct central instance profile. After removing the short name profile, issue resolved. This was just and incident and in your case backed up profile file names might be different.

In fact, he had just let the profiles start and profile instance of OX1 and SCS .

JSPM could start!

You can see in the semi-obliterated text of her initial post, that she is on a Netweaver 7.0 system, so JSPM is the right tool to use for her.

I believe system JSPM version is already high , just try to clean inbox and download new xml file and retry it .

Hi Sarah,

Are you launching the JSPM with <SID>adm user?

Remember that JSPM is outdated method to update your SAP NW based on JAVA stack for NW 7.3 and later.

The new method is using SUM see the sap notes:
