JAVA Solution Manager

Hi all:

I have inherited a Solution Manager system. How can I tell if the JAVA stack is running and available on this machine? If it is, how do I get to it to apply the JAVA support stacks?

Thanks,

-- Jackie

Hello Jackie,

If this is a SOLMAN 3.2 version usually you don´t have a J2EE installed.

If this is a SOLMAN 4.0 new installlation you will have the Java stack installed.

Check parameter rdisp/j2ee_start, value 1 means usually you have an J2EE installed and you will see it under /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGSXX/j2ee folder.

Also call http://server:5XX00 for getting J2EE status.

Hope this helps,

Dolores

Hi Jackie,

A good info on this blog on Java stack application...have a read.

Also check if Java is installed in ur parameters which contain a few Java parameter settings in.. RSPARAM can be the report where u can check the parameters.
