Hi All,
1. I have updated Delivery Tolerance in customer master, created sales order, data is getting copied.
2. Created Inquiry, but delivery tolerance is not getting copied.
3. If I update Delivery Tolerance in CMIR and then create Inquiry, Delivery Tolerance is getting copied.
As per my understanding, data 1st priority is CMIR, but if same is not maintained then data should get picked from customer master.
My query is : Why Delivery Tolerance is not getting copied to Inquiry from customer master?
Thanks
Vandana
Hi,
its a basic question.
Delivery priority always taken from CMIR first, if no data maintained here then it will go and fetch the Sold to party customer master.if SP also blank then delivery priority in sales order or inquiry would be blank.
note: you can change the delivery priority in sales order as per data maintained in CMIR or CMR manually

Hi Krishna,
Thanks for replying, but I think you didnt get my query:
1st thing: I want to create Inquiry.
2. Delivery Tolerance maintained in Sold to party customer master
3. But system is not updating inquiry.
4. When created sales order, system picking up data from Sold to party customer master.
So I wanted to know if I am going wrong or its standard?

Hello Vandana,
Can you kindly let us know why the requirement for delivery Tolerance in Inquiry?
I mean Deliveries are created with reference to Sales Order & here we need Delivery tolerance controls.
An inquiry is a record of Customer's queries & I feel Delivery tolerances are no way required at that stage.
Thanks,

Hi Jignesh,
Business creates Inq--Quotation--sales order
But Delivery Tolerance updated in Sold to party customer master is not getting updated in sales order because Inq delivery tolerance is not getting updated from customer master.
If I update CMIR, and then create Inquiry, Delivery tolerance is getting copied.
So I am confused why system is behaving so.
Hello,
Normally there is a setting in Sales Doucment Type (T-Code VOV8) whether it should Read Customer Master Info Record or not.
In VOV8 select Sales doucment type (Inquiry or Quotation or Sales Order) & under General Control, there is a check box for Read Info Record. System will check & fetch data from Customer Material Info Record only if this check box is checked.
But in your case what is happening is exactly reverse, i.e. system is reading Customer Material info Record & not checking Customer Master Records.
Further have you tried maintaining Delivery Tolerance in Ship-To-Party Master Record? Also are the partners (Sold-to-Party & Ship-to-Party) same in Inquiry, Quotation & Sales Order?
Thanks,
Jignesh Mehta
eg. ZIN, ZQT, ZOR
VD52: maintained customer material code for customer 59.
XD02: 59: maintained Delivery Tolerance : 52 / 23 %
VOV8: CMIR checked for ZIN,ZQT,ZOR
1st scenario: When I create ZIN for 59, Delivery Tolerance not getting copied because CMIR is checked and Del Tol is maintained in XD02.
2nd scenario: When I create ZOR without any reference, Del Tol is getting copied which is maintained at XD02.
My concern is when CMIR is checked for all 3 then why system is behaving such.
Thanks Jignesh for all your help. I am back to square one.
Hello Vandana,
It seems there is some enhancement / z-development in your system which you need to debug with help from your ABAPer.
I tried the following in my system & it works perfectly:
Inquiry: ZIN
Read Info Record marked in VOV8 for ZIN Doucment Type.
Scenario: 1 Delivery Tolerance maintain in CMIR.
Create Inquiry & Delivery Tol. is copied from CMIR.
Scenario 2: Delivery Tolerance maintained in CMR & removed from CMIR.
Create Inquiry & Delivery Tol is copied from CMR
Thus as per SAP Standard the system should not behave the way it is behaving in your case. So request you to get it debugged & look for some enhancements.
Thanks,
Jignesh Mehta
