Dear Sirs or Madams,
Once more I am in trouble with Saolution manager 710 upgrade to SP08.
I am using SUM to execute the upgrade and since yesterday (more than 23 hours) the upgrade progress is on the same phase: MAIN_SWITCH/SQLDB_D1GENIN for Execition ABAP.
It doesn't show any error but I think is very strange to remain at same point more than 3 hours.
Can you please help me to check what is happening and solve the possible problem?
Best regards
Ernesto Mandlate
Hi,
- It is very difficult to suggest without logs, You can see the latest logs form SUM/abap/log folder, just check the latest updaated logs any information?
Very common errors during upgrades
- Check enough space available?
- Check the admin users have enough auth at file system level?
- Check TP, R3trans, even the tool SUM in the latest version?
- Tried to restart the SUM, would be helpful in some cases.
Please check.
Thanks
Jansi

Thank you Jansi Rani Murugesan and M. Dijsselbloem,
The filesystem /usr/sap/SMP were 94% full. I had to increase the size and then the process is running.

Do you see any activities on the operating system? High CPU consumption etc? If not, maybe the process just stopped somewhere..
I agree with Jansi, without any logs or further information, it's hard to tell what's going on.
Kind regards,
Mark
