Here's the SCN Document Template. However, SCN no longer accepts document submissions from community members and asks that they author their content online using the text editor provided (Create > Document).

Because the author's name appears on the document and links to his or her profile, theirs no need to list redundant information already accessible from their profile such as the author name, company, bio, and so on.

Any good structured document starts with a brief brief paragraph describing what the document is about and what it applies to without the need for the header 'Introduction" or "Purpose."  However, subsequent sections should separated by headers that are styled as such.

Length is also important: sometimes it's better to break concepts or long sections into separate documents so that you don't create a really long page that is difficult to navigate and scroll through, especially when adding pictures and screenshots.

Hi Niketan,

Seems like you are referring to this 2008 version.

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/60eaf80f-d533-2b10-9ab2-9ba07538cfbc

But not sure if this is the correct template (SDN Document / article) accepted as of today.

Below link explains the process for 2012 version.

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-18841

But I couldn't understand the Foreign language in the Template 😉

Thanks,

Nisha Vengal.
