Transport Request not releasing

Hi All,

We have configured CTS+ for our PI transports (Netweaver 7.31 Single Stack). And as part of configuration the transport directory /usr/sap/trans is shared between the ABAP system and PI JAVA only system.

Now when I try to release a transport request from CTS+ Browser (Transport Organizer), sometimes the transport request is hung there.

And I see this log in the tp system log:

ERROR: tpsettainfo: /usr/sap/trans/cofiles/XXXXXXX.SID contains no valid information

ERROR: EXIT(16) -> process ID is: 6691

ERROR: SIDXXXXXXX : couldn't locate TA-info in .../cofiles

(no read from file pointer)

HALT 20130816164308

At OS level the cofile XXXXXX.SID gets created but with 0 bytes.

I already checked OSS note 456196 but it is for older release.

Could you please help me figure out the issue and the reason why it is random?

Hi Muniyappan,

Thanks for your reply.

I checked both the notes and they are for older tp versions and not relevant for this issue.

Our tp version is 380.05.13 and kernel release is 721.
