Alert mail for negative acknowledment in sap pi

Hi Gurus,

We have MDM to CRM and loopback CRM to MDM scenario. In CRM to MDM we are using IDOC -->XI-->MDM Adapter.

We get acknowledgment status in SXMB_MONI for messages. Many times we get negative acknowledgement. It says "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NOT POSSIBLE" thought it shows message proccess successfully status. I need to trigger an alert email if we see negative acknowledment in SXMB_MONI.

Kindly suggest how to set alerts for this?

Alert in this case is not possible since the message is processed successfully.

Do you mean you do get acknowledgments and sometimes ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NOT POSSIBLE ?

This should not happen. If the interface is configured correctly to receive acknowledgments, it should ...all the time.

Is ALEAUD set up for this message type ?

try to figure out why it says ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NOT POSSIBLE sometimes. Is anything stuck in SM58 in PI or ECC.

Thanks for you reply... I know why I am getting negative acknowledgment.. I just need to trigger an alert if this happns.... as you said its not possible here as message is processed succeffully... can you please tel me we have 3 messages failed in moni...still we dint receive any alert mail...why so???

Is Alert monitoring set up in the system ? Alert configuration needs to be done for this. please check with you basis team if it has been done and then run some tests.

Hi Ambrish,

I have configured alert category in ALRTCATDEF and then created ALERT RULE in RWB. SCOT is correct. I triggeren alerts by standard report RSALRTTEST. I got mail... but wen I actually got an error in moni...i dint get any mail.....

Hi Rashmi,

Are you following any guide for alert configuration. You have to set rules for mapping error (specifically error in integration engine) and adapter engine errors so that you can automatically gets mails. Please check the guides available on SCN for alert configuration and complete the set up.

Hi Ambrish,

I got document on sdn only i followed that.... Created Alert category...alert rule set...scot is correct.... I tested my created alert category it gave me test alert mail in my outlook....but wen I am actually getting failure in MONI i am not getting any alert mail for this.....y so?
