Upgrade SomMan 710 to Support Package Stack08

Hi all,

First of all,  I did solution manager 710 installation and now I am doing Post Installation phase, precisely Update to Support Package Stack 08.~

I got my upgrade broken in phase Processing in copy template element list.

The error displayed is

Unable to execute the SDT request ABAP operation pre-execute on hostname srvmapssm01 instance 00

Pre-Uptime execution of the ABAP upgrade request ABAP has failed

Error from unit observer

Tool died unexpectedly with

FATAL ERROR: RFC login to system SMP ashost srvmapssm01 nr 00 gwhost srvmapssm01 gwservice sapgw00 failed with code 1 key RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE:

LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode

Hi Alberto,

Seems your system srvmapssm01 instance 00 is down.SUM Tool is trying to login to system using RFC but it's failing

FATAL ERROR: RFC login to system SMP ashost srvmapssm01 nr 00 gwhost srvmapssm01 gwservice sapgw00 failed with code 1 key RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE:

LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode

ERROR partner '172.16.0.102:3300' not reached

Please make the System up and repeat the phase.

Hi all,

really my system was down.

I had to clean some archive files and restart it again. In addition, I have switched off the archivelog mode to avoid this problem again in my upgrade
