Holt winter's additive equation in APO (5.0)

Dear All,

Is Holt winter's additive strategy exist in APO? There are two forecast strategies (40, 41) for trend seasonal models and both use winter's multiplicative equation.

I found following link which says that Winter's additive equation is available.

Hi All,

Lifting this thread since I am dealing with the same issue.

Cant get anything else than multiplicative seasonality to work when trying different strategies. For most cases it is OK with the multiplicative version, but we are dealing with some cases of strong seasonality. Going from near zero sales to huge seasonal peaks, the multiplicative seasonality is unstable.

Re-post a working link from the previous post. The additive seasonality is mentioned but without details about the strategy name/id:

"Trend seasonal exponential smoothing (additive seasonal component)

The forecast is calculated according to Winter/Holt’s additive method and is suitable if historic values display seasonal fluctuations from a rising or declining trend."
