Hello

we want to make a systemcopy from PRD with oracle 10.2.4 to Test system oracle 11.2.2.

You can restore the production database running on 10G to the test server running on 11G.

The problem here is with the version of the database.

After the restore the database will fail to start due to the version difference.

Once the database has been restored on the test location you will need to upgrade the database to 11G

Else you need to configure the database to use the 10G binaries if you still have the 10G installation left on the server. In this case you just need to modify the environment variables of the orasid user by pointing them to /oracle/102_64 location

Hi,

This is Standard Homogeneous System Copy but you need Upgrade First Oracle on your source System to 11.2.2 and then perform system COpy.

Hi Shatti,

Refer SAP guide for this system copy

Few more options are discussed in the thread
