SHDB- SM35 -Could not ascertain code page

Hi Anyone of you faced this issue before?

Process to upload sales orders through VA01 Recording - SHDB. We create the sessions from SM35 after changing the uploaded script.

It runs fine in all the environment, except in one of the systems- Quality.

While processing the same through SM35- only in foreground and display error only it is working correctly.  If we run the same in background it throws an error page could not be ascertain. There is no custom transaction or enhancement-Simple -VA01.

Hi All,

We have posted the same to SAP.

It is not possible to upload orders from SHDB transaction anymore from the furture releases.

It can only be processed in display errors only mode.

Hello AS,

Would suggest you to execute T-code ST22 by giving Exception as your Error Msg and User as your SAP Logon. You will get the Dump Log which explains that excatly at what point job is getting failed. Also, check if you're using any FM GUI_DOWNLOAD/FM GUI_UPLOAD in your program because these FM's or any classes like this will not work for background job processing.1st you've to download the file to application server by using Transfer statement and once it will be downloaded to the application server by using T-code CG3Y you can bring the source file to front end. Try your luck by using this document.

Somewhere I read the following

If you decide to use background processing, always select the option "application server". 

Background processing with presentation server( with path for downloading the files) will result in the above mentioned error.

May be you can try as above.
