We have ESS and MSS. We are using standard FM FM_HROM_GET_MANGR_ASSIGNMENT to fetch the object id in structural Profile instead of giving any static value for object id. Will one  manager structure profile will be enough for all managers (who have reportees) and non managers (who do not have reportees).

Or we need to create separate for both.

My understanding was, One profile is enough as there are no person under “non manager” so it will return blank.

Hi,

Your understanding is correct. If the function module in your structural profile returns no results then no structural authorization will be given. Hence the same profile or role can be given to both managers and non-managers without giving the non-managers any extra access.

PS: I assume you mean RH_GET_MANAGER_ASSIGNMENT which returns the Org Unit the user is responsible for.
