Error during step Introscope Host Adapter

All,

We face an error during the managed system setup of an ECC backend system.

STEP

configure automatically -> Introscope Host Adapter

ERROR

On instance : xxx

Wilyhost Agent configuration finished without errors, but on Enterprise

Manager (<SolMan host>:6001) no Wilyhost Agent was detected from host xxx.

Please check the log file jvm_smdagent.out whether the Wilyhost

Agent could connect to the Enterprise Manager. If the Enterprise

Manager configuration has been changed recently please restart the
SMD Agent on OS level.

Please note that we connect to that managed system via our own SAPRouter and

via the managed system SAPRouter.

Any ideas?

Hi Dimitry,

Can you check that the host_profile "service/porttypes" finishes with parameter SAPOscolKnowledge Base Article 1905704? This is the currently documented cause for that error although there could be other causes

I would also check that Host Agent patch version is above level recommended in note 1365123 (currently patch 147) - refer to attachment of note 1031096 for information about patching the SAP Host Agent

Changing the order of items in that line in the host_profile also worked for me; I was sceptical!  I love these left field fixes 🙂

Hi,

I solved the problem by following steps mentioned below:

1. Update host_profile and put SAPOscol at the end in line service/porttypes as shown below:

service/porttypes = SAPHostControl SAPCCMS SAPOscol

2. Restart SMD Agent.

3. Restart Host Agent

4. Restart Wily IE agent on the host where its running (e.g. Solution Manager host).

5. execute the step "Introscope Host Adapter" again.

Hello Dimitri, the problem is that the willy hostagent is not able co acces to willy EM

Due to saproute configuration on xxx  the connectivity to
Wily Enterprise Manager <SolMan host>:6001 could not be checked

It's really hard to connect willy agent trough saprouter, if it's possible open port 6001 on managed system to server where is installed the EM.
