Revenue recognition - Posting Deferred GL's

Hi All,

We have configured RR completely and in GL assignments,  issue is with other account keys postings (ERS/MWS/ERF and ect), do we need to mention deferred GL's for other account keys?? currently we only given deferred GL for ERL in VKOA - Provisional account. So system is giving in completion log for Provisional account missing. I tried giving provisional account for other account keys, so in completion is removed.

Now my question is- Is this right process to maintain deferred GL for all other account keys, if not how to control in completion log.

Actually ,we need to maintain G/L accounts ,Account keys wide like ERL will have one account, ERS will have One account and Rebate will have G/L and also Provisional account why because we need to maintain two account keys for Rebate purpose like one for ERF and one for ERU .

For In-completion log ,you are maintaining Provisional Accounts in VKOA because you have activated that Note .Until unless ,system cant ask you to provide Provisional Accounts .Now ,coming to the Point is ,It is not good practice to Provide for unnecessary Account Keys .Your FI guy knows very well about this Provisional Account as When to use this Accounts which Account keys .

Now my question is- Is this right process to maintain deferred GL for all other account keys, if not how to control in completion log.

Dont activate this Functionality in SAP  ( This is my Opinion ).Tell me one thing straightly ,Why you activated this Note ?.Who suggested this note to activate in SAP ?

Dear,

System is giving in completion log for Provisional account missing.

In VKOA ,Provisional Account is a Optional Input .We will use this account for only Accrual purpose like Rebate .I am wondering ,why system was saying Provisional Account missing .I think ,better to take help from FICO guy .Might be ,some where this Field would be required in FI point of view .

As per SAP Note 1265438 - Customizing settings for RR incompletion log, system will check Provisonal account for deferred postings.
