ERP6.0 EHP6 HA installtion +sybase issue

HI All,

I am installing ERP 6.0 EHP6 with windows and sybase database high availability installation ,I have installed first cluster node and database instance successfully.

While installing Additional database node I am facing below error ,Please help me any one on below its very urgent for me

       An error occurred while processing option SAP Business Suite 7i 2011 > Enhancement Package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 > SAP Application Server ABAP > SAP Sybase ASE > High-Availability System > Additional Database Cluster Node( Last error reported by the step: Assertion failed: Unable to copy user envrionment variables from registry (HKU\S-1-5-21-2897193497-1864418585-3814506131-1661\Environment) from host KBINPRD02.). You can now:

• Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
• Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
• Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/BS2011/ERP606/AS-ABAP/SYB/HA/SYB_DB_MSCL.    

Please suggest and guide

Hi Basis,

Make sure you log in with SID(adm) on second cluster node and start the SWPM from there and do not move the nodes from the first cluster node.It should fix your problem.And also check if the relevant permissions are granted at OS level.

Dear All,

Copy the installation master and kernel to Node B local disk and start the installation    

Check Node A Cluster Status is Running. If any problem solve that problem then start the installation in Node B.

Dear Basis,

The Cluster environment users sidadm & SAPServiceSID are domain users.

Find the DB groups and SAP Groups from Installation guide for HA and add users to installation guide recommand user.

Hello All,

Thanks for the suggestions and help.

The issue is while installing additional database node I have started the installation through first node itself due to this I am facing the above error.

After some I realized and started the installation (SWPM) through second node installation completed successfully.

As you have installed the fist node of database successfully. Have you done a failover now and are installing the second node?

I have installed first node database successfully.

While installing second node I am facing the above error .

I have not done any failover ( not moved resources to second node) ?

I am unable to login through SIDADM on second node its showing message The connection was denied becuase the user account is NOT authorized for remote login.

Hi,

Please try to add the sidadm user in remote user group on that server.

If still you cant login you need to check the policy which policy is not allowying to login on that server.

Hi Rishi,

Now I am able to login through SIDADM in second node .but still the issue same.

If I login in to second node there is no environment varibale set .

I am setting manually environment variables  as per first node sid adm .

Please suggest can i go ahead or is their any otherway to resolve the issue

Hi,

Dont know how much this will help you but did you move the the cluster resources with the Failover Cluster Manager to the current node before you install the primary application server

Please check the exact process using the install guide for HA.

Hi ,

For SAP installation on MSCS cluster you need to login Administrator user and not sidadm user.

Refer Installation guide for SAP installation on MSCS cluster and follow the steps mentioned to avoid any issues with the setup.
