SAP ECC on HANA and Accelerators

Hi,

Are accelerators (eg: CO-PA accelerator) part of SAP ECC on HANA? Are they needed at all with SAP ECC on HANA?

Sharadha,

basically all 'accelerated' functionality is part of Suite on HANA. And without need for a separate RDS to set up the data model in HANA / repliacte the data on a secondary HANA database (as all is natively already in HANA after the database migration as part of a Suite on HANA transition).

The accelerators are a combination of innovation (a bunch of additional programs, mainly line item browsers) and improvement (optimization of reporting and transactions like allocations) by using HANA as a secondary database (HANA side-by-side).

Hi Sharadha,

Yes you will need CO-PA accelerator even when you are using ERP on HANA. Hence it is not part of ERP on HANA.
