We are running Intermec equipment in the warehouse with a GSW telnet client. I want to post barcodes of the frequently used F-keys for the operators, but I am unable to figure out how to create the barcodes.
I've read about escape sequences and tried to create barcodes from those and everything I've tried has failed.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to accomplish this?
Thanks
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
You need to find out what character(s) GSW telnet client generate when function keys are pressed by user on Intermec scanners. Then you can create barcode for those character.
See this intermec article on generate F keys using barcode.
Just out of curiosity I would like to know why would you like users to scan a F keys instead of using F key button on scanner. Intermec scanner have dedicated F buttons using which I guess would be faster then scanning a barcode.

Pawan.
