Former Member

Hi All,

When I am trying to connect my LDAP to SAP GRC system, I am getting a connection error mentioned below.

Connection error occurred

Message no. LDAPRC091

The SM59 connector is working fine and is showing a green light in LDAP-> LDAP Connectors. But when i try to log on to the LDAP server i get the connection error. I have done all the configuration as per the AC10 LDAP Config guide.

When I checked the trace for this connector in ST11 i got the below error. Please help.

Hi Prashant

You need to make sure that you register the LDAP server program on the gateway. Also make sure that the LDAP connector is the same name as the RFC destination in LDAP tcode.

Please refer to Sap note 353597 - Registering RFC server programs.

Thanks

Hello,

So it seems there is some problem in the RFC destination configuration.
Please check it in transaction SM59. Follow instructions from this link:

Hi Yong,

Thanks for your reply.

I did all the configuration as per the AC 10.0 LDAP config document.

Please note that the ST11 log says that simple bind failed. I am attaching the error line below.

Slot 0 (): <<< ldap_simple_bind_sU() == 91 := failed

Please let me know what could be the issue for this failure.

Regards,

Prashant

Hi Sandeep,

Thanks for your reply.

I did the connection test on the connectors SLD_NUC and SLD_UC but got the error that the program id is not registered. Please let me know do I need to register the the program id on SAP gateway for these connectors?

Below is the error log:

Hi Prashant,

it says the ERROR: program SLD_NUC not registered

Go to sm59>>TCP/IP>> SLDUC OR SLDNUC>> TECHNICAL SETTINGS TAB.

There please make sure that you are maintaining the PROGRAM ID and GATEWAY OPTIONS

If there is no program id>> we should maintain it.

usually it is rfc name itself.

Nag

Hi Sandeep,

Yes, the program id and is maintained in these connectors and with same as rfc name.

Also, ST11 log says that simple bind failed. I am attaching the error line below.

Slot 0 (): <<< ldap_simple_bind_sU() == 91 := failed

Please let me know what could be the issue for this failure.

Okay prashant,

now see if the ldap rfcs are working fine in sm59 by doing the connection test.

if they are failing

Go to transaction >>LDAP>>LDAP CONNECTORS TAB>> DOUBLE CLICK ON ONE OF THE CONNECTORS>> PRESS THE ACTIVATE BUTTON(resides just beside the name.)

Regards,

Nag.

Hi Prashant,

Apart from the LDAP rfc connections, please make sure the SLDUC and SLDNUC rfc connections are working fine.

goto transaction SM59>> TCP/IP >> SLDUC>>CONNECTION TEST.

Nag
