CTM increasing the all planned order lead time

Hi Experts,

I am facing an issue where in Constrained CTM is increasing the planned order lead time for example we have PPM with one operation -->with four activities ,Total Fix duration (in Days) of all activities is 20 days.

If we have requirement on 22-Dec-2013 as per PPM lead time the planned order should start on 2-Dec-2013 and should end on 22-Dec-2013 .

But if there is a capacity constraint /Raw material constraint on 2-Dec-2013 , the planned order start date moves to 1-Dec-2013  but end date remains same as 22-Dec-2013, due to this total lead time increases to 21 days  (But the actual manufacturing lead time is 20 days).

Is there any way /planning parameter by which we can move end date by same days as that of start date whenever the start date changes due to any constraints?

We run constrained CTM in SNP mode.

Order Creation Frame is 999 days.

Maximum Earliness for Planned Orders 999 Days.

Hi Suny,

You can separate finish goods from raw materials by creating two CTM profile and select in the CTM master data Perform only single level selection. Also you can plan first level with CTM and raw mat. with SNP.

Another way could be CTM infinite planning or with CTM finite capacity you can increase your capacity (overload) at work center level (example 10%). You can play with finite capacity for FG and infinite for raw.

Some tests are necessary to do.
