can't get lock to generate next idoc outbound message number
Refer the below blog. You can either increase the packet size or put a wait statement in the IDOC process code.

the ECC governance the generation of IDOC when it acts as a client system, the control should be applyed in the ECC.
if PI send an IDOC to ECC (BACKEND) you can governance the IDOC generation in PI.

Hi,
For this, go to NWA->Configuration-> Infrastructure->Application Resource->Java IDoc Adapter ->Properties. There you will see the parameter AutoNumberfromDB. This can have two values, either true or false. You may need to change this in order to avoid the error "
can't get lock to generate next idoc outbound message number".

Hi Indumathi,
We don't need to any Idoc number . ECC system will take care of generating Idoc number for incoming Idoc. Are you trying to map Idoc control segment ? Please do elaborate you scenario , so that fellow members can help you.

Hari.
