Hello Experts,
We are planning for latest versions for BW on HANA..
BW 7.4 SP3
HANA SPS06 revision 61
SLT version (not sure )
We have lot of real time requirement in various functional areas. I read about recent direction from SAP about SLT / RDA and real time reporting.
Is this generally available....For real time replication into data source using RDA/SLT....Can this be used for complex FI-GL, Sales related extractors.
Has anybody used this so far.....especially for logistics extractors?
Thanks .
Abhijeet
Abhi,
Few key points. SLT and RDA are two standalone options for real-time replication of data into SAP HANA and SAP BW respectively
SLT is only relevant in an SAP HANA landscapte and RDA ( real-time data acquisition) is applicable only in BW scenario without HANA.
Please let me know if you have additional question with specific landscape details so that I can share my experience in context to your environment, if I have any.
Hope this helps!

Hello Rama,
Thanks for your directions. If you look at the link which i have in my original post, I see SAP is trying to combine SLT and RDA for BW on HANA...>So that overall extraction can be real time in majority of scenarios. My key requirement is for Logistics sales related areas - to have real time extraction. I don't want to re-invent extractor logic in HANA models.
Thanks.
Abhijeet
See:
Note 1826585 - SLT Replication for SAP BW (PSA)
As per the deck you referenced, I don't think this is really (at this point) suitable for the LBWE-type or replacement of many content extractors which are 'logic-intensive'.
Travis.

Abhijeet,
Please do not look at RDS cost only. There are additional objects delivered out of the box with RDS like reports, dashboards which make it a good deal or in other words...it is worth it...
Take a closer look at RDS 1st to see whether you can leverage RDS content.
Let me know if you need additional details on GL/SD RDS content.
Good luck!
