Sales BOM - Deliver & PGI Both Excisable & Non Excisable Mtrl as Sub Item and Bill the Main Item

Dear Experts,

     Is it possible to deliver both excisable and Non excisable material as Sub Items and Bill the Main Item in Sales?

Below is our required scenario.

A customer places an order for material X - Vessel.

In turns sales people generate SJO(Sales Job Order)/Production Order against that SO for material X, as well material Y and Z as,  In Different Work center.

These Combinations of Material X,Y & Z along with Materials A (Bought out Spare Parts)  makes the Whole Material which the Customer Required.

Here, Materials X,Y&Z are In house produced and subjects to Excisable, on the other hand materials A are trading, non excisable.

Please note that, all these materials has to be dispatched separately and assembled and further installation/erection will take place at customer site.

(It is Not Possible to Assemble and send as a whole mtrl from Plant.)

Current Process we are following: 

Once all the materials are available to dispatch,we deliver all the excisable mtrl and Non excisable mtrl separately and it leads us to generate to invoices.

but the Customer demands for single invoice as he had placed order for one item.

Therefore, our management has decide to follow the following process.

Take Order For Material X - Vessel.

Create SO

Material X as main Item. That will have Sub Items such as

      Material Y - Excisable.

      Material Z - Excisable.

      Materials A - Non excisable.

Accumulate the costs of Sub item in to Main item

Deliver and PGI Both Main Item and Sub Item. Generate Bill only for Main Item.

Dear Experts, if we follow this process, these are my questions.

1. can we able to generate SJO/Production Order for Sub Items along with Main Item against that SO?

2. is it possible to deliver both Excisable and Non Excisable in single Delivery?

in case the answer for above question is No, then we have to generate two deliveries.

3. In that case, How do we generate single invoice for both different deliveries?

Hi Rakesh,

Yes, Rakesh, as long as your Item Category settings and respective requirement type determination is relevant for Make To Order Process, you can create Production Order for all the Line Items.

(Suggestion, Create Material M as Main Material, User Sales BOM with Component Mat X,Y,Z and A)

Determine, Your Item Category for Sub Items MTO or TP relevant as per requirement same as your current configuration.

2. is it possible to deliver both Excisable and Non Excisable in single Delivery?
in case the answer for above question is No, then we have to generate two deliveries.

I am not seeing any technical issue why it should not be allowed to deliver Excisable and Non Excisable Material in Single Delivery.

If Excise applicability or Rates are different then you can print it accordingly at Item level on Excise Invoice Print.

Dear Rakesh

You can make One sale order with two different deliveries & the you can club two deliveries in to one Commercial Invoice & excise invoice

Process as follows :

Suppose Sale order for X sold to party

make deliveries with two line Item

then go to VF04 there are tab collective billing with the selection of two deliveries & then make Commercial Invoice & Excise Invoice.
