Hi,

Make the file adapter as synchronus and same file adapter is used for getting the response from the RFC.

This can be done in the ID file adapter sender communication channel.

Set the parameter "file.storeResponse = 1" in the Advanced Mode.

So your scenario will be File-> RFC request and RFC Response->file.

Hope this may help you.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi John,

Check out this link where you wil find how to send response thru RFC to file by using Proxies ...

Hi John,

if you have SP19, then you can create a ASYNC-SYNC bridge and then you can implement this file -rfc scenario without BPM.

I wonder how this Async-Sync bridge is created without ccBPM!!..

John

One possible solution trigger RFC from ABAP Proxy and use a XI adapter (receiver) Asynchronously to call the proxy..Obviously RFC call will be managed within the proxy..There are some blogs depicting this approach.

Hi John,

just ask your Basis guys that what is the service pack level of your XI system...they will tell you this thing.......or....you can log into XI.....go to System menu.....click status......click the detail icon below Netweaver......then a window will come.....see the Level number of SAP_BASIS......this number will be your SP number.....

Thanks,
