Hi everybody!
We have a SCM 5.1 dual stack system and we want to make an upgrade to SCM 7.02
I have a big question, can I upgrade SCM 5.1 to 7.02 and keep dual stack functionality? or do I have to make a split operation?
Hi ,
Please check the below note.
Note 1055588 - Upgrade to SCM 5.X or SCM 7.0x and Unicode conversion
Note 1567308 - Requirements for the upgrade to SCM 7.02 (SCM 7.0 EHP2)
https://websmp210.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=1684429&_NLAN...Note 1684429 - /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70: Problems during SCM 7.02 upgrade
As per the note this i dont think that you need to split the system to do the upgrade.
Note 1655335 - Use Cases for Splitting Dual-Stack Systems
Note 1497083 - EHP2 for SAP SCM 7.0 SP stacks - Release & Information Note
So once you have upgraded to the SCM 7.02 you can use the split tool and split the system apart.
Please follow the upgrade guide.
