Difference between IELC and control

Hi Experts,

Can anyone explain me the difference between IELC and Control(attached to subprocess) in GRC PC 10.0 and there usage with one example.

From my knowledge, the only difference i came to know is that a Control can be attached to an organization through a sub-process where as an IELC can be attached directly to the organization.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Vinay Kumar

HiVinay,

Controls within the business process are used to assess the internal process of an organization and to check the fraud/financial loss that may occur.

On the other hand , entity level controls are required to manage the top level ie organization level.

For creating the controls we need to have a proper structure and need to created at the start once we finalize the hierarchy whereas entity level controls can be created any time and directly assign to the organization.

Hi Silky,

So there will be no difference in testing/assessing these controls right? Correct me if i am wrong.

Hi Vinay,

As on testing there will be no difference just that manual testing will only be performed over it.

We cannot automated the testing of Indirect Entity Level controls.
