After this i found no data and cofiles in Prd,  i cpoied them and try to add to queue manually got following error

All the files and folder were having full control permissions.

While checking TP tool i found access denied to SLOG1332 file. when i checked i cannot find log file with that name

I even tried to update configuration of PRD from Domain getting error File \\SERVER\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_SID.BAK could not be opened for writing (Permission denied).

The above file has full control permission

I have no clue what to do... Please help

HI Sharma,

I have tried all the odds, the only option left was update TP & R3trans.

1. Can we update TP & R3trans without entire kernel update?

2. We still have some unimported TR's in queue will they effected if i update TP & R3trans?

Thanks & Regards

Hi Anil,

yes you can update only tp and r3trans without updating entire kernal. While updating please make sure you have downloaded the tp and r3trans for the same release as kernal.

Hi kunal,

It's been a month i haven't transported into PRD, before that it is working fine. there was a hard disk crash and out IT team restored and after that everything is working fine, but this issue raised recently only, was there any thing todo with that, If please advise.

I can transport into QAS from DEV but cannot push it into PRD.

Qn:  Do we need to update TP and R3trans in all the systems or only in PRD system hence the issue is with PRD system only.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Anil,

Try to update the data file and cofile once more in the system using the FM -

ARCHIVFILE_CLIENT_TO_SERVER

and then check the importing the transport in STMS and see if that brings the right one.

Sure Anil. Update the Tp and R3trans.

Also before that, try to import the TR from the OS with TP command and send us the error code.

As you do not have direct connection to P, you just need to update the files in the PRD and then try to import the request in STMS which will solve the issue.

Hi Anil,

Can you please delete the data and co file from PRD server and try to copy again and try to import.

Hi Anil,

Is your production system is on cluster(MSCS)?

If yes, then you need to do STMS load balancing.

follow  Note 943334 - TMS setup in high availability systems.

If your system is not on MSCS then check production's firewall settings. firewall must be off.

Hi,

Refer to sap notes:

Note 17083 - Adapting the sapsys groups in a system network

1509073 - Error CANNOT_CREATE_COFILE in SPAM or SAINT

Hi Anil,

Are you facing issue only for a particular TR or for all in TR queue ? If only for this TR , then check whether data file and co files are having full access or not . Also if it's for all TRs, then check in properties of TRANS directory , whether it has suitable READ MODIFY WRITE access or not. If it's an AIX system, then check the same with Win SCP.

Please let me know in case any concern.

Nilutpal.

HI Sharmah,

The issue is not for one TR it is for all TR's. Data file and co-file have full access. My system is Windows NT and Database is BD2.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Anil,

If this is related with all the TRs i.e. for the whole system itself, then it would better to reconfigure TMS and regenerate it from domain controller. Also please cross check the permission of trans directory in your target transport server.

Nilutpal.

Hello

Move this file to a different location and then retry

\\SERVER\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_SID.BAK

Also make sure that this directory is shared.

Hi anil kumar

This problem can also is the acess to /usr/sap/trans on the domain controller. Check the file permissions and the share permissions.

Hello

Check sidadm user and sapservicesid user rights on sapmnt and saploc shares.

Also try to update tp.exe.

If all fails please delete whole STMS configuration and make a new one.

Best regards

Hi Anil,

Check your file permission again and if you are using oracle please check your listener is up and running.

Test consistency and transport tool in STMS.

Please check your tpsyslog
