Hello Experts,
I am new to Information Steward.
Kindly help me in the below issue.
In my project I have a requirement to create connection to a oracle database.
The database given was DCDQ and we have several schemas in that database named 1.extract 2. cleanse 3. deliver 4. conform 5. governance.
Each above ones have separate username and password.
To access the tables in that schemas do I have to create 5 different connections in CMC? or is there any other ways to do it..
Kindly advice me your concern regarding this.
Thanks and Regards,
Priya dharshini Siva.
Yes, you would need to create different connections to access tables from different schemas.
Else, if you know the table names in those different schemas which you would be using, you can set read access to those tables from single user schema.

Hi Priya,
If all users have the same rights and can look into each others schemas and tables, it is sufficient to use 1 user. But I guess that is not the case: you'll then have to create 5 connections in the CMC to be able to see all tables in all schemas.

Marc
