UC migration and data archiving

Hello there,

we are planning to do an unicode migration and i need to know how the ADK (or data archiving in general) will behave.

We archived a lot of data from our NUC.

  • Is it still possible to read this with the common methods (SARI, reading programmes, ...)?
  • Is it possible to read mixed data (UC and NUC) from the archives alltogether?

  • If yes, does this also apply to z coded archiving objects?

thanks

steve

Hi Steve,

it is possible to read archived data after a Unicode conversion with standard methods.

Please have a look at SAP note 1322715 point 20.

The data is converted during access.

Z objects archived with standard methods should be also displayed correctly.

Best regards,
