We are testing SAP ERP6 EHP6.

When running program SAPLSTXW, transaction ME23N (print prewiev), Slovenian special characters not showing. Instead of them, "#" is displayed.

How to fix this problem?

Kind regards, Mitja

Hello Mitja,

The # characters indicate that the character set of the device type used to process the print preview does not support the Slovenian characters. Try using unicode device type SWINCF or a Latin-2 device type like I2SWIN or I2HP4.

Device type I2SWIN works fine.

Thanks for your help,

# sign is a replacement character  for special characters.

Have you recently done a upgrade?

have you done the unicode conversion?

is the slovenian language installed (can you logon with it)?

is it only in the print preview, or as well on the output?

Hallo Jürgen, thank you for your reply.

1) No, this is a fresh IDES install.

2) No, unicode is set by dafault

3) I can log-in only with EN or DE. Is Slovenian language necessary to install?

4) Problem exists on the output too. (Not only in the print preview).

yes the language has to be installed if you want to make use of it. Follow the instructions given in SAP Library - Language Transport (BC-CTS-LAN)

Hallo,

I have now installed Slovenian language and can logon with logon language "SL", but Slovenian special characters in program SAPLSTXW are still displayed as #.

Exampe is attached.

Thanks for your help,

Mitja
