The step "Exec. of Table Analysis Programs for Data Selection/Deletion" is running for long time

Hi,

The step "Exec. of Table Analysis Programs for Data Selection/Deletion" is running for long time in TDMS 4.0. We are pulling 3 months data from sender system.

Is this step will take time to complete? or is there any checks/process to be done?

Note: The jobs are getting updated regularly in both central and sender systems.

Hello Pradeepa,

Rajeev is correct, this is a mass starter and there are inturn several activities and sub-activties under the activity Preparation for Data Deletion in the Receiver System.

As this activity involves several tasks so it is known to take some time.

Below are the important activities which may take time as per data distribution in your landscaspe -

- Defines TDMS migration objects corresponding to all the clinet dependent tables in your landscape.

- Generate several runtime objects corresponding to the above defined migration objects

- Identify all tables that are to be deleted in the recevier system

- Generate relevant deletion programs/views etc for deletion of identified tables in receveir.

You should check on the progress of these individual activties to get a clear picture of the current

progress of the mass starter.

Hello Pradeepa,

  This is a mass starter. There are many activities inside this. Can you please switch to extended view. You will know which activity is really taking more time. Please update us accordingly.
