In SNP planning book for month and week (first 3 months displayed in week) data view user noticed difference in values for stock on hand (projected). After analysis we came to conclusion that it was caused due the tick indicator set for "forecast horizon in past" and "forecast horizon" 0 days in SNP2 view.
Below example will give the clear view
For month data view
Forecast tick=Y | Initial | M1 | M2 |
Forecast | 90 | 10 | 10 |
Sales order | 10 | ||
Total Demand | 10 | 10 | 10 |
Stock Available | 100 | ||
Stock on hand Projected | 90 | 80 | 70 |
Week data view
Months | M1 | M1 | M1 | Current week (M1) | M1 | M2
Forecast tick=Y | Initial | W1 | W2 | W3 | W4 | W5 | M2 |
Forecast | 90 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 10 |
Sales order | 10 | ||||||
Total Demand | 10 | Middle of month Disaggeregation | 2 | 2 | 10
Stock Available | 100 | (3 weeks considered as past period)
Stock on hand Projected | 90 | 88 | 86 | 76 |
Setting this indicator does not considers the past unconsumed forecast because of which different values get displayed in both data views.
removing the indicator considers the past forecast and displays right values in both data views. but as removing the tick considers previous unconsumed forecast which increases the stock on hand projected value which is not acceptable by the business.
My question is, is there any alternate solution to display the same value in both the data views without considering the previous unconsumed forecast.
We set a job for rlcdedelte to delete the past unconsumed forecast which resolved the issue.
