Managed system connection over a SAPRouter

All,

I'm trying to connect a managed system over a SAPRouter. Technically, this is OK.

Now, executing the Managed System Setup for the ABAP part, we face a problem.

In the step Enter System Parameters, what should we enter for the Load Balancing Host?

We already tried different things, but each time we get the error message that the URL cannot be reached.

Thank a lot for the feedback.

Kind regards,

Dimitri

You can use your FQDN of your managed system and port as 80<nn>  or your web dispatcher port .Don't select HTTPS .

Hi Jayanth,

Already tried that. Would be too easy.

I guess it is more complicated then that.

Kind regards,

Hi Dimitri,

Are you trying to add SAP router as a managed system ??

If yes, then please check this Note 1886060 - System Monitoring Setup for SAP Router.

And if you are trying connect diagnostics agents on a monitored system via a saprouter to Solution Manager, try this

Edit the saprouttab to allow connections from the managed system to

the Solution Manager and Introscope:

TCP connection managed sytem - Solution Manager for P4 on port 5xx04,

where xx ist the instance number of the Java stack.

TCP connection managed system - Introscope Enterprise Manager (by default

port 6001).

I'm sorry to inform you, but you can't get past "Enter System Parameters" (due to

Load Balancing Host entry) successfully if you have only SAPRouter connection and no direct port connection. Its the way it currently works.

Give the hostname of the sap router.

It should work.

Which SAPRouter do you mean? Ours or the customer's?

And we would like to use the IP address, but we do not know which one. The private of the public one.

Thanks

Unless you have a VPN between the two SAP Routers you must use the public facing IP address. which also means that you need to have the proper ports forwarded to that SAP Router.
