I have a confusion. When we CIF data from ECC to APO using integration model for demand planning, where these data get stores and how they are used for CVC creation and come into planning area? Please tell entire cycle.
We need previous sales data for doing forecast. For this we CIF history like previous sales order of APO. These will be transactional data. Also when we add new product in hierarchy we need to CIF it to APO. These will be master data.
Hi,it is not necessary (or incorrect) to CIF historical sales data as transactional data to APO. Instead you load historical sales data into BW infocube, and then load infocube data into APO's DP planning area as time series data, which is used as historical data for forecasting. Transactional data in APO is those relevant for APO planning. You can also create CVC from infocube.
I know to load data into Infocube using flat files. But as per your say, can we load historical data from ECC to BW Infocube. If it is possible then please tell how to do that?
I think demand planning is that kind of application in APO which is relevant the least with CIF. So I really do not understand what data do your CIF from ECC and used in demand planning. Could you please explain in details?
