Error during Import process of Sybase Migration

Hi All,

We are doing SQL to Sybase Migration and we are getting the error in "Install Common System files" Phase.

  Kindly check the attachment for the error.

Need your valuable suggestions for solving this error.

Hi Mathan,

You can download latest version of SWPM and run sapinst "Run as Administrator" option with OS administrator user, before you need to re-start the OS.

Hi Mathan,

You sapinst log and screenshot are showing differently. Please update latest sapinst log.

and try to start sapinst with Administrator user...not bidadm ur sidadm user.

Hi Mathan,

As per the logs it looks like that file which installer want to use is used by another program. Have you checked this ?

Also, try to stop all the thing and then check whether any process is running or not. If not then start again.

If yes, kill that process or unlocked the process using lockhunter and re-start the sapinst.

Or Iaplly the Kernel patch latest for your kernel version.

Please check if you have met all the prerequisites using prerequsite checker as the log suggests you have not met all the prerequisites.

Install Common System files

Please try to rerun sapinst and provide current log file.

        I was getting the error during the phase(Step) 'Install Common Files'.I didnot mention Install common files error.

I was just mentioning the step at which I am getting the error
