Permission of transport directory

Dear All,

We have STMS route as  :  DEV --> QAS -->PRD

All three servers are diff. on HP Unix 11.31.

We have NFS mount  of "/usr/sap/trans"  of DEV server to QAS.

We are facing permission related issue.

Want to know if      "/usr/sap/trans"   shared between two servers what are the O/s level permission.

Thanks and Regards,

Nirav

Hello,

This directory should be set this way :

drwxrwxr-x  42 sidadm   sapsys 13824 Jul 29 09:55 trans

But what you really should do in order not to have any permissions problem beetween the platforms is set the same UID / GID for sidadm and the sapsys group ( and orasid ) accounts on DEV / QAS / PRD.

Best regards,

Steve.

Does group sapsys has the same group ID on both servers? If that's not the case, you probably have to open full permissions on the /usr/sap/trans dir, so other users/groups have full permission.
