can't connect from IDT-Relational Connection to BW objects

Hi,

I'm trying to create WebI doc on BW(CUBE or Query) using Relational Connection.

I could create the Relational Connection but the attached error occurred when executing connection test.

Although I recreating APS according to the Note 1690334 (Unable to create or test connection in Information Design Tool),

it didn't work.

Could you tell me the solution?

Kind regards,
Masatoshi

Fujita,

Please refer to below and see if everything is fine with configuration of RFC connection and other points mentioned in below thread

Hi Mallik,

Thank you for your information.

By the way, I found the link below.

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Implementing+Data+Federator+NW+BW+Connector+for+Webi+Repor...

I could complete until the 4 step but stop at the 5 step

since there is no "federator" string in 'jdbc.sbo' file.

5. Connectivity configuration between BOE and Data Federator

If you have any advice, it would be helpful.

Kind regards,

Masatoshi

Configuration below is applicable for BO XI 3.1 and I don't think it applies to BO 4.0 as well

Does your jdbc.sbo look exactly same as the sample structure mentioned in below? I think it would be different since you are on BO 4.0

Hi Mallik,

>Does your jdbc.sbo look exactly same as the sample structure mentioned in below?

Probably different because of different version.

Hi,

Its purely an RFC connection error. Check SM59 tcode in BW side also.

I have seen similar message in BODS and we used to go to the Management console, SAP Connection, and restart the BW RFC connection to solve that issue.
