Unable to delete DC from SC - 7.31

Hello Experts,

I was trying to delete 2 dc from development configuration.

I created a new DTR Client, and deleted the projects.

First project was deleted but I'm having trouble with the second one.

The project was deleted from DEV/inactive but still available in DEV/active.

When I try to delete it, an activity is created but when activating it I'm getting an error:
FAILED: Precondition integrate-of-version-sets-not-allowed check failed.  default at 18:53:46.118

I also tried to delete it by using dtrconsole.
I can see the dc by using 'ldc' but when I try to delete it I'm getting the error:
Error: Error while executing command. Cause: Cannot find DC '---/---' in compartment '---/---' of development configuration '---/---' (---/--- are placeholders).

I don't have any problems deleting other DCs.

So, how can I delete the DC?

J2EE version is 7.31 SP7.

Regards,
Omri

Omri,

You can also delete from the DTR Web UI.  Go to ws/<workspace>//dev/inactive/DCs/<dc name> and click on the 'x' under 'Actions' to delete the DC. You need to do this in /dev/inactive/, dev/active, cons/inactive and cons active.

You will also need to remove the.dcref file located at ws/<workspace>//dev/inactive/SCs//_comp/TopLevelDCs/<.dcref>. You need to do this in /dev/inactive/, dev/active, cons/inactive and cons active.

Once this is done, you will have to checkin and release these activities in NWDS.

Hi Stefan,

I've already tried it:

Project is not on CONS (not on active nor inactive) which is OK'
Project is not on DEV / inactive.
Project is not on TopLevelDCs.

The only location of the project is DEV / Active.
When I try do delete it from DEV / Active by using WebUI I get the same error (See attached screenshot).

What else can I do?

Omri

Hi Omri,

I dont think I have ever encountered this. Did you try bouncing the NWDI?

Hi Stefan,

What do you mean by 'bouncing' the NWDI?

Hi,

I think he meant to restart the j2ee engine where NWDI resides.

Cheers,

Hello Omri,

I usually use the deletedc comman of the DC Tool.

See details at

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3179330

as well as in the SAP Ticket you opened (just answered).

I hope this helps.

Hi Ervin,

As I wrote in my original message:

I've deleted DCs using the commandline tool before and after the problematic DC.

I guess there was some specific problem in this DC.

When I try to delete it (using commandline tool) I get:

Error: Error while executing command. Cause: Cannot find DC '---/---'

in compartment '---/---' of development configuration '---/---'  (although I can see it by using ldc).

What does the error 'FAILED: Precondition integrate-of-version-sets-not-allowed check failed.' mean?

I wrote it in the SAP message as well (-:

Was hoping that a reboot of the app server would allow you to delete the dc.

Hi Ervin,

Problem is solved!

The problem was that the activity that was created for the DC wasn't seen by NWDI default development nor custom DTR client.

I could see it only by the CBS webui. Then I activated it and DC isn't seen anymore.

Thanks,

Omri
