PCN with Materials

Hello Experts,

While we are using movement type 311 ( st loc to st loc ) with material A then system creates the PCN and when we are using material B system not generating the PCN. Can anybody explain me in details?

are the storage locations involved the same in both scenarios?

Are you certain there is none, and not just that one got automatically processed while the other is not automatically processed?

Hi,

no, we are using different storage location but B material generating the TR

mat A= RMWH - WELM

mat B = RMWH - DR01

can it be that both storage locations used for Material A are warehouse managed in the same warehouse? That could explain that there is no physical movement involved, hence a PCN.

And for Material B only RMWH is warehouse managed? so you need to move physically and this requires a TO, thats while you get a TR when doing the movement.

Hi Ram,

If the issuing plant/storage location combination is assigned to a different warehouse number than the receiving plant/storage locaton combination, the system does not create a posting change notice. Instead it creates TR.

Resolve:Material B where I am sending goods to storage location DR01 so must assign the warehouse no in to the system.
