Hi any one can tell me the difference between Ramping Up and Ramping Down

As per my understandin Ramping up and Ramping down is nothing but System downtime and system up time this is mainly related to Basis team is it right.

Hi Ravi,
You can use this term there as well i.e. for system down time or system up, but officially ramp up is used by SAP product team for new product launch by SAP, and Ramp down might be when they want to take some product out of market or trying to promote another product of similar nature.
So while a product is new in the market and initial customer testing is going on it is in ramp up stage probably because SAP assumes that there will be some modifications in the product after first actual customer testing.
