PGP key generation in SAP PI730

Hello Team

We need to PGP encryption in PI 730 SP00. we are going to use sftp adapter for communication.

Can some one guide me how to generate keys for this. I have gone thro below :

I have below doubts :

We need to setup this PGP in our SAP PI 730 system.  What is difference between Generating Key Pairs and Generate ASCII Armored Keys from GPG Keys?

Do we need to login to server where we have installed on PI and generate key with Gpg4win?

What if we have HA PI 730 system , Do we need to generate on both the nodes of HA system?

1. What is difference between Generating Key Pairs and Generate ASCII

Armored Keys from GPG Keys as shown in above link?

2. Can we use the keys generated using Generating key pairs as per link

3. We can see com.sap.aii.adapater.pg.app application running in our

system , Does it mean that we do not need to deploy the PGP ad-don?

4. Do we need to login in server where we have installed on PI and

generate key with Gpg4win?

5. What if we have HA PI 730 system , Do we need to generate on both thenodes of HA system? We have Production PI on HA setup.

You should only need to generate 1 time for your HA scenario, as the application servers are to just handle loads; it is still going to be a part of the same <SID>.

I unfortunately can't assist with the other questions you asked.
