Hi,

We have a strange issue.

When we create a calculation using SQL Script we are getting this error.

Steps to recreate the error.

1. Create calculation view using SQL Script.

2. Validate and activate the view.

3. Now make some change in the script (like add xx as postfix to the column to make it invalid column name) so that it gives syntax error.

4. Now validate it, It will give error.

5. Now correct the error (remove xx added to the column name)

6. Again Validate or Activate the calculation view.

Now it gives the error mentioned in the Subject line. Even if we correct and save it validation and activation fails.

We are having HANA Studio - 1.0.39 , HANA Version - 1.00.39.369298

Anyone has faced this issue? Any solution?

Hi Sagar,

This issue used to appear in earlier versions of HANA. I guess, you should upgrade to more recent revision as I faced this issue in older revisions, but did not occur after SPS 05.

Alternatively, I'd suggest the good old method. Stop and restart. Try with the studio first and then try with the HANA server.

Can't comment anything more on this.

Did you try shutting down your HANA studio and coming in again and trying again? If not, please do.
