Merging of compines

Can anyone let me know the process of merging Two company codes into one company code.

Hi ram,

There would be so many critical issues associated joining two company codes and takes its own time depending on the size of the companies. As well it is rare to have company codes merging. Rather continue with the existing setup. Infact many big companies to have a simplified approach setup number of company codes. But basically its the balance sheet which becomes one for the two merged company codes after all the work is done. And now this becomes a legal entity.

Could you be more specific....why do u want to do that....a finance person like me will say it happens by amalgamation.
