Read Only Quantity Unit - Line Items

Hello experts,

My customer sent a requirement requesting that the Quantity Unit field (the unit of measure that is related to a line item) must be read-only when inserting materials on the line items tab. Currently, it's possible to add a Material and then change the Unit of that material in the Master Agreement's line item.

Is it possible to make this field read only? I've only found the Contracted Quantity (QUANTITY) field on the Page Customization of Line Items but not the Unit (QUANTITY_UNIT).

Any thoughts about this? I could also consider a non-standard approach (scripting, perhaps). We are on 7.0 OP.

Hi Robert,

I don’t believe it is possible to make the unit of measure dropdown field read-only. May be you could consider writing a script that will would validate the line item UOM against the UOM on the material record.
