Hi,

Can anyone help me on what is the popular approach in SAP Enterprise Portal for providing standard E-Mail features like inbox, sent mails, e-mail groups. I understand that E-Mail servers like MS-Exchange can be integrated. Are there any other approaches (like using built-in tools of SAP EP) for providing standard E-Mail features in portal. Pls let me know the standard mail servers that are used for integration.

Hi Veena

For emailing you need an exchange server and then configure your e-mail in EP.The configuration is simple.But if you just want to create some chat rooms and do chatting exchange server is not needed

Thanks rajat for your response. Are there any other mail servers other MS Exchange and Lotus notes for providing standard email features like viewing inbox, sending mails, creating groups (distribution lists) etc. Also should portal user id and email id be the same for a user for integrating with exchange server. If they are different, can user mapping be done.
