Hi,
Currently there is an index on table VBFA
But it is not active. See the attached screenshot
"Index does not exist in database system ORACLE"
The index is on these fields - MANDT,VBELN,POSNN
How to activate standard this index?
Can we simply activate this standard index from the toolbar.
(If so , any special thing needs to be allows? ...either in SCC4 or SE06 etc...)
or else
Is it required to drop the current standard index (M01) and recreate new custom z-index on the same fields.
(Once the standard index is there it not allows to create another index with the same fields.)
When trying to activate directly, it gives this error.... Any Idea !!!

Hello
"Index does not exist in database system ORACLE"
What you see is that SAP is saying that the index is not present at the database level.
So activating the table from SE11 will NOT create the index at the database level.
To create the index at the database level you either need to use the Database Utility using the Tx SE14 or create the index from the SQL.

Hi Zerandib,
Firstly check whether there is another index with same fields like M01.
If there are multiple indexes with same field you may decide which one to keep active and others can be deleted.
If this is the only index with the mentioned 3 fields, you can activate the same in se14 and schedule the creation in background.
Hope this helps.
