Dear SAP hana experts:
We have an SAP hana (SP5) system that we forget its keystore password.
It is NOT changeit because we have tried it. The previous admin of this system left company.
Could you please tell how to retrieve or reset this password?
Thanks!
Hi Christina,
If Atul's mention can not resolve your issue, you can delete content in secure store respective and re-add related system again base on your account and password.
Hope this can help you.

Jerry.

Dear Hana experts:
-- We do not need the key store password for any application yet. We just want to standardize
the passwords per company's policy. Since we do not know it, we want to reset it anyway.
-- go to hana studio-- window--presfrences--general---security--secure store
I will try this after installing the studio.
-- We also find an OSS note 1886185, it says:
Create a keystore file
Could you please tell : is this equivalent to what Atul said?
Thanks for help.
Hi Christina,
catalina.properties only holds the password, it oes not reset any password.
You will need to save the existing password in catalina.properties ,this will ensure that the service reads password and does not prompt for a password.
Hope this brief information is helpful

Hi Christina,
Could you provide more info as too what the keystore is being used for.
I don't think that there is a simple way to get the password back. I have yet to come across anyone with a solution for password retrieval.
Once the password is lost then one will have to recreate a new keystore and do key generation using keytool all over again.
I have done this when we were facing an issue with a client having a HANA Prototype
Kindly do provide a bit more of detailed overview of your scenario for a suitable workaround.
Thanks
Best regards
Shaik Arshad
