orcle upgrade questions

( Dear friends,

                 I have following    queries for oracle 10 to 11 up gradation

• At present we are using sap ecc 6 ehp3 with kernel 700. Do we need to upgrade kernel before starting db up gradation.or first db upgradation then kernel
• do we need to upgrade our support pack after oracle and kernel upgradation
• Currrent database size is 220 gb in oracle 10 what would be size after upgradation
• What are action required when oracle upgrade on windows  MSCS environment.
• What are new advantages of oracle 11 compare to oracle 10g specially with sap environment.( Management query when we asked downtime)
• what would be total time for oracle upgradation from 10 to 11

pls. reply me and share your exp. when u faced problem and known issues during up gradation.

Most of these questions can be answered by basic searching and reading of the installation guides and SCN threads.  The others cannot be answered from data you supply (e.g. downtime depends on speed of disks and testing requirements).
