No valid directory server found while Add Distribution List

Hi dear Forum,

   I'm creating Distribution List for assign them to Alerts in System Monitoring Solman 7.1 SPS08. I created the distribution list in Tx SO23

but I can't assign it to an Alert:

No valid directory server found

   I tested distribution List from the ABAP side and it works properly.

Help will be rewarded.

Hi,

To define LDAP server recepient list, you need to do some additional configuration n solution manager side.

It sounds like you are trying to query an LDAP server for a distribution list.

I also have to ask why you are using tx SO23, if you are in the work center for notification management you can just make your distribution list there...or an even better option is specifying email address (aka distribution lists on the mail server, or single address; dealers choice) that is external from the SolMan system.
